CoopeTarrazu established in 1970 to give a voice for small producers in the Los Santos region of Tarrazu supports over 2,600 members. It offers farmers technical assistance, low-cost loans, and affordable fertilizers. About 80% of Coopetarrazú’s members are small-scale farmers working on just 4 hectares or less. The co-op supports nearly 10,000 people year-round, whether they’re picking coffee or working behind the scenes. By staying involved in every step—from harvest to export—they’re able to keep a close eye on quality and make sure the coffee stays consistently great, year after year
