Brazil Cerrado
From Minas, with Love
Our Brazil Cerrado, comes from the State of Minas Gerais where Bruno and Mauricio, our owners both have family farms.
This coffee comes from the Daterra Estate, located in the Cerrado region of Brazil. Consistent rains and high daytime temperature and dry winters make it ideal for coffee growing.
This region has a rich deep reddish colored soil known to the natives as “Terra Roxa” (Rich Dirt). The Cerrado region is known for using sustainable practices and producing renowned Arabica coffee. Established by the Pasqual Family, Daterra Estate became one of the first to achieve the Rainforest Alliance certification, as well as becoming one of its highest ranking sustainable partners.
At Uncommon, in addition to offering this as a single origin, we are proud to use Brazil in a majority of our blends.
