This coffee is from Rigoberto Paz’s farm (finca), which UCR has been working with Rigoberto since 2010. In 2012, UCR staff witnessed the devastation of Rigoberto’s crop as a result of an unusual hailstorm. His crop has since come back and his latest is excellent.
Rigoberto’s well-maintained finca is located in La Paz, Honduras on a mountaintop. This is a favorite spot for UCR staff to relax and enjoy the views after their long day at the finca, harvesting and learning about his crop.
