UCR has been working with the Pastor since 2010. Pastor Bernardo lives near La Union, Honduras with his wife and (9) children. One of the highlights for the UCR staff’s trip to Honduras is having lunch at Pastor Bernardo’s home with him and his family. He always thanks the UCR staff for partnering with him and investing in his family’s future.
We returned to La Union in February of this year. Pastor Bernardo gave us a tour of his finca and his house. After, his family provided us with a delicious lunch in his house and then gave us a tour of his church located just down the road from where he lived.
Bernardo has been using a sustainable solar dryer on his property. He is one of the first in La Union to be using this method. Solar drying uses less water but produces amazing coffee. We have just received Bernardo’s natural coffee and will be releasing it soon!
